Write a blog
If you are a college leader, staff member, student, parent or campaign supporter your voice matters!
Getting blogs in local and national media outlets is a great way to shine a light on all the brilliant work that goes on in colleges across the country every day. It is a chance not just to celebrate staff and students, but to showcase the need for proper investment.
We need you not only to write for us, but also write your own to share with local press and relevant websites. If you are interested in writing for us, please do email email@example.com, alternatively we would recommend contacting publications you’re interested in writing for, in advance to check if they’d be interested in your story.
Remember to keep it succinct, 600-800 words is ideal and focus on the ‘so what?’. Why should people care about what you’re talking about – the more personal and human interest, the better.
Recent stories that have interested the media have included; the pressure of GCSE resits, student hunger, mental health and teacher pay.
Huffington Post have a great blog on how to write a great blog.
