IT’S COLLEGES WEEK!

Small actions make a big difference, why not do one of these today…

…further education and skills is going to be a priority of this government
— Boris Johnson, Prime Minister

As a former student of a FE college, I’ll treat them with the seriousness they deserve for a changing economy
— Sajid Javid, Chancellor

We love our colleges. We’ll do all we can to call for them to receive the increase in funding that they need and deserve
— Angela Rayner, Shadow Secretary of State for Education

Colleges transform millions of lives each year, shape communities, and boost our economy. Yet they are the only part of the education system that has been subject to a decade of cut after cut.

| Young people get an average of 10 hours less contact time than their counterparts around the world

| Teachers in colleges are paid 20% less than in schools, and many support staff have seen little or no pay increase for several years

The Love Our Colleges campaign is a partnership, calling on government to invest in our people by investing in our colleges.
